THE BENEFITS OF JUVEDERM
Juvederm is a FDA approved dermal filler from Allergan, Inc. (makers of Botox). It is the only Hyaluronic Acid (HA) filler FDA approved to last up to one year, providing patients with a smooth, long-lasting correction of facial wrinkles and folds in our Los Angeles Juvederm patients. It contains the highest concentration of non-animal based, highly crossed-linked hyaluronic acid of any current available dermal filler.
Dr. Hoefflin performs Los Angeles and Beverly Hills Juvederm treatments to primarily treat the nasolabial folds (lines between the mouth and nose), lip augmentation, marionette lines (areas along the lower outside corner of the mouth), and glabellar lines. The injection and consultation process takes about 20 minutes. Immediate enhancement can be appreciated.
THE BENEFITS OF JUVEDERM XC
Allergan's Juvederm XC® is the newest FDA approved dermal filler that contains Lidocaine. Designed for patient comfort, lidocaine is a local anesthetic that provides patients with enhanced comfort during treatments of facial wrinkles or folds, including nasolabial folds.
JUVEDERM ULTRA VERSUS ULTRA PLUS
Allergan's Juvederm® comes in two different formulations (Ultra and Ultra plus), so that treatment can be individualized to meet your cosmetic needs.
Juvederm Ultra® is designed to give you the flexibility to correct both your facial wrinkles, nasolabial folds, and for lip augmentation.
Juvederm Ultra Plus® is more cross-linked and robust product, and therefore is better used for "volumizing" and treatment deep facial wrinkles and folds. In addition, it lasts longer compare to Juvederm Ultra.
TYPICAL RECOVERY TIME AFTER JUVEDERM
Our Los Angeles Juvederm treatments are performed directly in our offices. All patients receive complimentary anesthetic numbing cream and post-injection ice compresses. Typical treatments take 15-30 minutes. A self-massaging program is initiated immediately to reduce any swelling and maintain tissue softness. There is minimal downtime and recovery, and results can be immediately appreciated.
HOW LONG WILL MY JUVEDERM LAST?
The key to long-term happiness is getting enough volume replacement with the initial treatment.
JUVEDERM PRICING
Our professional offices charges $550 per syringe for Juvederm Ultra® and $595 for Juvederm Ultra Plus.®

SIDE EFFECTS AND RISKS OF JUVEDERM
Typical reactions after your Juvederm treatment may include mild redness or swelling, which usually subsides after a few days. Our office also offers both topical and oral Arnica, a homeopathic medication which reduces any residual bruising. Other mild side effects may include pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, itching, and discoloration.
WHAT CAN I DO TO MINIMIZE THE RISK OF BRUISING?
Aspirin, Motrin, ibuprofen, Advil, and virtually all non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents thin the blood and can promote bruising. In addition, anything herbal, red wine, and homeopathic medications can do the same. To minimize bruising, it's advisable to avoid these products for 10 days before a treatment. To find out more about which medications you are presently taking and their potential for bruising, please contact our offices.
